What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are titanium posts with specially treated surfaces.  Following your initial consultation, we will determine the proper placement and angulation. Once the implant is placed in the bone we allow time for the bone to fuse with the titanium through a process called osseointegration. This usually requires about four months.  At that time the implant can then be restored with a crown or bridge.

If you currently wear dentures, you may be able to have your implants placed and leave with implant-supported dentures the same day!
